# Link a Gnosis Safe

**Multis is built on top of Gnosis Safe. Therefore, we make it easy for our users to link an existing Gnosis Safe to their Multis account.**

What are the benefits? 

1. Take advantage of one of the most secure and battle-tested multisignature wallets available. 
2. Supercharge this wallet with advanced features, such as bookkeeping, spending analytics, mass payments, crypto-to-fiat swaps, and debit cards (coming soon). 

*Please find below the required steps to link your Gnosis Safe:*

* **Step 1 -** Connect your MetaMask, or any other signing wallet through WalletConnect, that is associated with your Gnosis Safe(s).

* If your Gnosis Safe keys are stored on Ledger or Trezor, you can import your keys to MetaMask and use your existing Gnosis Safe(s) to create a wallet on Multis.\
  Here's a [tutorial](https://metamask.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020394612-How-to-connect-a-Trezor-or-Ledger-Hardware-Wallet) on importing your Trezor and Ledger keys.
* If you do not want to use Metamask to connect your Ledger, WalletConnect can be used.

* **Step 2 -** Select the network where the Gnosis Safe you want to link is deployed. For now, Multis supports both the Ethereum mainnet and Polygon network.

* **Step 3 -** Multis will automatically detect your Gnosis Safe using your connected signing wallet. Then, select the address of the safe you want to link from the drop-down menu.

As of now, you can only link one Gnosis Safe per account on the the Ethereum mainnet. We plan on supporting other networks and allowing them to link multiple Gnosis Safe. \

* **Step 4 -** Once your wallet is linked, you can click on "*Enter my account*" to go to your dashboard.
* **Step 5 -** If owners are associated with your Multis account, they need to be invited to Multis to approve transactions. You can do this in *Settings >Team*
* **Step 6 -** Once team members are invited by email, they need to log in and connect their signing wallet associated with the Gnosis Safe to Multis, using Metamask or WalletConnect.&#x20;
* **Step 7 -**  Your account is now ready to use!&#x20;
